Hey hey! š
ā
It's been a crazy but action-packed month for Focused Work, and with WWDC (the big yearly Apple developer conference) around the corner next week I have my š¤ for some great iPadOS and Mac Catalyst improvements!
ā
iPadOS home screen widgets are near the top of my want list, but an overhauled multitasking environment is #1. I'd love to display a small PiP-style Focused Work timer while the app is in the background and be able to automatically trigger on-device Shortcuts also while in the background.
ā
Speaking of Shortcuts, macOS 12 adding support for them is definitely #2 on my list!
ā
Anyway, without further ado here's what's new in the Focused Work 1.7 update that went live today! š
ā
ā
Full optimisation for the new iPad Pro with Liquid Retina XDR Display! š
ā
šš Follow the system theme, manually select Light or Dark Mode, or pick the new Pure Black Dark Mode theme which displays pure black backgrounds.
ā
ā
ā±š Theme selection also extends to the Home Screen widgets!
ā
Long-press to select from Light, Dark, Pure Black, and Completely Black themes, that perfectly blend in with a dark Home Screen or Today View cut-out. ā¬ļø
ā
ā
āļø Add notes to Focus Session templates that give each session more context beyond the Title and Icon.
ā
Access them mid-session via the Session Progress screen.
ā
ā
š¼ Translucency has been added to the macOS app.
ā
The Current Session screen now displays a translucent background that blends in nicely with your desktop wallpaper.
ā
ā
ā³ Optionally log an extra stage when a session goes over-time, and keep track of additional Break time or Focused Work.
ā
ā² Tasks are now supported if you are apart of a Toggl Track premium workspace.
ā
ā
Hit reply and let me know if you're enjoying the app, I'd love to know how your experience has been. š
ā
If you also have a spare moment, leaving a quick App Store rating & review would mean the world to me - if you haven't already of course!
ā
Climbing the App Store charts is hard work, and I would love to have Focused Work be presented in front of more people looking for a helpful and flexible focus timer. Tap here on your iPhone, iPad, or Mac to directly open the App Store page, or search for Focused Work in the App Store.
ā
Lastly, thank you for staying in the loop with Focused Work, and happy dub-dub week! ā¤ļø
