Focused Work January Update

Hey hey! πŸ‘‹

It's crazy that January has already passed in the blink of an eye and that in another 5 weeks it will be a full year since I sat at my computer and did my first competitor analysis of Pomodoro apps - which eventually lead to creating Focused Work!

This past week I submitted Focused Work 1.3 to the App Store with a bunch of new features and improvements that I worked on over the Christmas & New Year break, addressing over 30 feedback requests, which you can check out here!

A few key highlights include;

πŸ‘‰ Power Saver mode

πŸ‘‰ Complete Sessions early

πŸ‘‰ Restart the current stage

πŸ‘‰ Duplicate Sessions

πŸ‘‰ Timer Customisation

Check out the following promo pictures from the thread I shared during the week. πŸ™‚

What's next? πŸ‘€

With these important tweaks included I can now focus on my next big goal of bringing Focused Work to macOS via Catalyst, which will be my aim for February. I absolutely love using the app every day on my M1 MacBook Air, which displays the native iPadOS version, and it's the most requested feature by far (with Apple Watch support trailing in #2).

If you want to follow along with my daily/bi-daily updates for macOS support, i'll be sharing updates, images, and videos in this Twitter thread, so feel free to bookmark it! πŸ€—

I feel adding support for macOS will also largely improve the iPadOS experience, especially for people that use the Magic Keyboard/Trackpad. I've already started adding platform features such as Dynamic Type, Keyboard Shortcuts, Pointer Interactions, and will be keen to swap out the Bottom Tab Bar with a new Sidebar.

Thank you for being apart for the Focused Work tribe and i'm really excited to see how this product will evolve in 2021! ❀️
